Why we built smart handoff

Hollis answers most calls from start to finish. Some calls, though, need a person: a worried pet owner, a billing dispute, a patient asking about a treatment plan. Until now, those calls were transferred cold, and callers had to explain everything again.

How it works

Smart handoff listens for the moments when a human will do better. When it hears one, Hollis tells the caller who they are being connected to and why, then transfers the call with a written summary that appears on your team's screen before they pick up.

  • Set handoff rules by topic, caller type or keyword

  • Route to a person, a team or a mobile number

  • Share a two line summary and the caller's details before the transfer connects

Our callers stopped repeating themselves. That alone changed how people talk about us.

Getting started

Smart handoff is available today on every plan. Open Settings, choose Call routing and add your first rule. Most teams set up three rules in under ten minutes.
